Léa Mysius (born 4 April 1989) [1] is a French film director and screenwriter. In 2017, she made her feature directorial debut with the film Ava, which premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival where it won the SACD Award.
Her next two shorts, Thunderbirds (2014) and L'île jaune (2016) (the last one co-directed by cinematographer Paul Guilhaume), were in turn shown in many festivals and also won awards. Léa Mynius was only 26 when in the Summer of 2016 she started filming Ava (2017), her first feature.
