- Chaudhvin Ka Chand (1960) Directed by Abrar Alvi (though some say Guru Dutt himself directed the film) it starred Guru Dutt, Waheeda Rahman and Rehman and is a bitter-sweet love triangle.
- Mere Mehboob (1963) Directed by HS Rawail, this romantic film starred Rajendra Kumar, Sadhna and Ashok Kumar. Parts of it were shot at the Aligarh Muslim University.
- Dil Hi To Hai (1963) Directed by C.L. Rawal and P.L. Santoshi, Dil Hi To Hai was a costume drama comedy starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan. In a vast departure from their usual serious roles, both Raj and Nutan opted for some broad comedy.
- Bahu Begum (1967) Directed by M Sadiq and starring Ashok Kumar, Meena Kumari and Pradeep Kumar, this one was a five handkerchief weepy alright. The implausible story, revolving around a lost-and-found bahu had a hundred little plot points for the actors to indulge in loads of melodrama.
