The Richmond District is a neighborhood in the northwest corner of San Francisco, California, developed initially in the late 19th century. It is sometimes confused with the city of Richmond, which is 20 miles (32 km) northeast of San Francisco.

Richmond District is located amongst the parks of San Francisco. It is bordered by Golden Gate Park on the south, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Lincoln Park, Land's End, Mountain Lake Park and the Presidio of San Francisco to the north. - Golden Gate Park. The southern border of the Richmond District in San Francisco is Golden Gate Park. This 1,000+ man-made park houses several large museums, outdoor activities, and trails.
- Presidio. The Presidio is another fun place to visit. It's an old army base with lots of outdoors activities. You can do some hiking, soak in the views from its hilltop vistas, or visit one of its museums.
- Lincoln Park Golf Course. If you love to golf, then you will love this course. It's inexpensive (for local standards) and has gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the surrounding area.

The park boasts access to beautiful urban hiking trails, stunning coastal views, a labyrinth, and the ruins of Sutro Baths. Many believe Lands End provides the best view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. 2. Spend the Day (or Two) at Golden Gate Park.
