Ramatuelle (French pronunciation: [ʁamatɥɛl]; Provençal: Ramatuela) is a commune in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France.
Ramatuelle is an attractive perched village set high above the Mediterranean sea of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, not far from Saint Tropez. The village was originally founded here to escape the pirates who terrorised the villages along the Mediterranean coastline.
Not far from Saint-Tropez, on the Bay of Pampelonne, in the Var department, hides Ramatuelle and its many delights. On the hillside, the village overlooks the amazing scenery and vineyards of the region. Between Pampelonne beach and the southern pine forests, nature is omnipresent on the site.
