    • My Architect (2003) – United States. In “My Architect”, Nathaniel Kahn tells the story about his quest to understand his father, the legendary architect Louis Kahn.
    • Eames: The Architect and The Painter (2011) Narrated by none other than James Franco, this vision of Charles and Ray Eames explores its great influence on the development of modernism, the rise of the information age, and his approach to running a creative unconventional work that created all kinds of mid-century furniture.
    • Visual Acoustics (2008) Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, “Visual Acoustics” tells the career of Julius Shulman, one of the best architectural photographers, whose images showed the power of modern American architecture.
    • Blade Runner 2049 (2017) Synopsis: This sequel to Blade Runner (from 1982) centers around Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a blade runner for the LAPD. The film takes place in the same dystopian LA world as the original, but this time, the protagonist is a replicant who starts to uncover secrets about the world he thinks he knows.
    • Black Panther (2018) Synopsis: Marvel’s Black Panther centers on T’Challa, heir to the throne of the fictional African nation of Wakanda, who returns home after the death of his father.
    • Brazil (1985) Synopsis: If you are a fan of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, you may enjoy the odd sci-fi film Brazil. It features Sam Lowry (Jonathon Pryce), a bureaucrat whose life takes an odd turn when he begins dreaming of the beautiful Jill Layton (Kim Greist).
    • Ex Machina (2014) Synopsis: Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson) gets selected to participate in a Turing test of eccentric CEO Nathan Bateman’s (Oscar Isaac) robot called Ava (Alicia Vikander).
    • Casino Royale. Casino Royale reinvented British Secret Service agent James Bond as a lean, mean, killing… person. The movie also introduced us to Daniel Craig as 007 — and to parkour as one of the world’s weirdest action sports.
    • The Dark Knight. Can we all agree that the second installment of director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy is the best comic book movie of all-time?
    • Locke. Locke is a movie chronicling a drive from Birmingham to London and featuring a single character on-screen: Ivan Locke, a successful construction foreman.
    • Die Hard. Generally regarded as the best Christmas movie of all-time, Die Hard is set in real LA’s fictional Nakatomi tower. In reality, the half-built tower is Fox Plaza, a very real Century City landmark.
