Sunil Philip Narine (born 26 May 1988) is a Trinidadian cricket player who played internationally for the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2011 and Test match debut in June 2012.

- Roots and beginnings: Sunil Narine was born on 26 May 1988 at Arima in Trinidad and Tobago. He was born into a Roman catholic family. He started playing cricket at an early age of seven.
- Named after a legend: His father named him Sunil after the legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar. It was his father, Shaheed, who spotted the interest of his son in the game of cricket and took him to Queens Park Savannah every day.
