Apr 16, 2020 · Legend of the Blue Sea is rated as one of the highly recommended SBS K-Drama. At first, I thought it was quite overrated, but then I decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, when I started with the first episode, I ended up binge-watching the entire drama in a span of just two days.
I recently watched Legend of the Blue Sea and I would say it is so-so. If you have time, watch it. Otherwise leave it. There's not much to the fantasy side of the show. The story is also made this way that it gets repetitive after one point and especially with lots of amnesia and time skips, it feels dragged. The saving grace was the characters.
I've been avaoiding Legend of the Blue Sea for 4 years now. Mostly because, I'm expecting it is famous because 'good lokking' leads. I prefer good script over things like production quality, lead chemistry etc. So I just want to know, is this a must watch? even if LMH and JJH weren't the lead actors? PS: LMH is the main reason I keep avoiding this.
• 2 yr. ago. This is by far Lee Min Ho’s best performance and I personally think it’s actually the best kdrama he’s been apart of. I stayed away from this drama until 2020 out of spite because the LMH fans around me kept telling me to watch it lol. It’s totally worth the time. Not even for LMH, but for the whole cast and kdrama as a whole. 56.
Nov 18, 2016 · Unlike DotS, Legend is not a fully pre-produced drama and currently remains in production. It started filming two months ago in September with an overseas shoot in Spain but the drama is not able to simulcast in China due to not having an ending to submit for approval yet.

Screenplay is motivated by a mermaid story in story collection "Eou yadam" by Joseon scholar Yu Mong-In.
