A remake of the Hindi film Kahaani. The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil, the latter titled Nee Enge En Anbe ( transl. Where are you, my dear? ). [5] [6] [7] Plot. The story revolves around Anaamika, an IT professional, who arrives in Hyderabad in search of her missing husband, Ajay.
The film was remade by Sekhar Kammula in Telugu as Anaamika (2014) with Nayanthara reprising Vidya's role. A spiritual successor, titled Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh , was released on 2 December 2016.
