May 3, 2020 · Many people messaged me how you achieved 4 stars in only 3 contests in a month interval.That sounds amazing! But the reality is I am doing coding since 8 months and I have practiced on many platforms before jumping to the contests. I personally don’t know anyone who just started coding and became a 4 star or so in a very short period.

Apr 28, 2021 · It depends on your performance in Contests. You should top (maybe stand in the top 100 in short contests) at least 2 contests to become 4*. If your performance is just above what is expected, your rating increases but very little. This way, it may even take 3 - 4 months to cross 1800. See my graph for example.
Get mentored to Level up from 1 to 2 stars. Solve 3-5 problems per day with your CodeChef mentor, during the camp and improve your understanding of concepts. At the end of the camp, you will be able to solve problems in CodeChef Starters and Long contests.
You can read about the new rating system here since July 2022. You can check all the ratings and ranks in these pages: CodeChef Ranks - All. Rating Divisions. Based on your CodeChef overall rating, you will now fall in either Division 1 or Division 2 or Division 3 or Division 4.
Mar 9, 2017 · The new combined CodeChef Rating: A major shift in our new rating system is the introduction of the combined CodeChef Rating, so as to have one single rating for the entire platform. This is in addition to the ratings calculated independently for the Long Challenge, the Cook-Off and the LunchTime contests.
