  2. Apparently East wind was supposed to the group of musicians accompanying Stomu (I don't have the full infos), but Freedom Is Frightening is the only album (to my knowledge anyway) bearing that name. As with all too many of Stomu's works, this album cries out for a Cd reissue.

  4. Mar 16, 2012 · Stomu’s East Wind was formed off the success of his touring theatre shows but the group delivers something more than a ‘side project.’ The compositions on ‘Freedom is Frighteningdo have a theatrical feel and are quite dramatic at times but I enjoy that.

  5. Freedom Is Frightening is a 1973 album by the Japanese percussionist, keyboardist and composer Stomu Yamash'ta and his band East Wind. It was recorded in August 1973 at Advision Studios (Gary Martin, engineer). The cover art was designed by Saul Bass.

  6. There's just four tracks here but each one is different.
