As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 5,907, [9][10] an increase of 113 (+2.0%) from the 2010 census count of 5,794, [19][20] which in turn reflected a decline of 251 (−4.2%) from the 6,045 counted in the 2000 census.

This beach has a double option, be at the crowded, noisy area good for our teenagers where they find music and restaurants or be at the peaceful area good for us adults. The boardwalk is well maintained and no bikes, dogs or skates are allowed. This makes it safe to walk and enjoy the views without worrying.

Belmar beach is one of our go to beach every year. It’s very clean and well maintained public beach. We love it’s boardwalk and other activities as well. We stayed over the weekend at local Airbnb place but it’s good for one day trip for anyone living in PA or NJ area.
