Archway Bridge was designed by John Nash in 1812 was built to carry Hornsey Lane over a cutting through the hill in a tunnel. In the late 1890, Nash's road was replaced by the present cast iron bridge slightly further north. Way below the bridge is the Archway Road, the modern day A1. The bridge offers a magnificent view over London.
