Feb 27, 2019 · Regarded as an "out of town" location, Tynecastle Park or "Old Tynecastle" as it was called, stood on the site of the present-day Wardlaw Street and Wardlaw Terrace. In 1886, the expansion of Edinburgh saw the site transformed into tenements and the club moved across Gorgie Road to the site that it has occupied in one shape or another to this day.
