Lecco (US: / ˈ l ɛ k oʊ, ˈ l eɪ k oʊ /, Italian:, locally ⓘ; Lecchese: Lècch) is a city of approximately 47,000 inhabitants in Lombardy, Northern Italy, 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Milan. It lies at the end of the south-eastern branch of Lake Como (the branch is named Branch of Lecco / Ramo di Lecco ).
Lecco is a commercial town with a lovely waterfront area and a medieval centre. You can enjoy the views, the historic monuments, the cable car to Piano d'Erna, and the nearby attractions such as Bellagio and Villa Balbianello.
