This allows you to be signed into a workplace Slack account that uses their password policies (or even single sign-on), but still allow you to use other Slack instances in the app. Think of if you had multiple email accounts for different purposes... you wouldn't be able to go to a website or open an app and log into all of them with a single user/password.

If that's not the case - try to reset app, completely uninstall, delete your slack storage and reinstall to retry. If it persists may worth to contact slack support.
