Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao (born Vijaya Raghava Rao; 3 November 1925 – 30 November 2011) was an Indian flutist, composer, choreographer, musicologist, poet and fiction writer.
Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao was at the forefront of classical Indian music for six decades. Vijayji was born in Hyderabad, India in 1925 and played the bamboo flute since he was a child. He originally divided his time between classical dance and Carnatic (South Indian) music.

Vijay Raghav Rao (November 3, 1925 - November 30, 2011) was born in Chennai but eventually began working with Ravi Shankar first on films and then other projects. His pupils included Ronu Majumdar and GS Sachdev.
