Jan 8, 2016 · At first, “The Abandoned”—previously known as “The Confines”—is a relatively promising horror thriller. I dig haunted house pictures: scary movies with few characters that allow tension to come from the environment rather than being distracted by dull performances.
The Abandoned is a steadfast and creepy haunted flick, until the final five minutes sink the entire production. It'll work for some, but sadly not for most.
