Dec 10, 2023 · Contrary to popular belief going to a Catholic school is not a hook at Notre Dame. ND only admits about 40% from private high schools (and Catholic schools are only one type of private school). Being Catholic is not a hook, but legacy is and the PP gave last year’s percentage of legacy admits.

Jan 24, 2015 · While ND is more “Catholic” than BC, it’s certainly not the “most Catholic” out there. BC is very liberal, being a Jesuit institution, and many conservative Catholics think it shouldn’t even be able to call itself Catholic. ND is more conservative, but they’ve still had a few spats with conservative Catholics.

Jul 21, 2016 · Duke is very similar to Notre Dame and has comparable academics and culture and campus feel. Campus setup is similar and size is similar (ND 500 more undergrads per class and Duke more grads overall with Duke being ~3,000 students larger overall). Notre Dame is the slightly more national undergrad student body.

Dec 20, 2017 · I was just accepted to the class of 2022 REA, and Notre Dame has been my top school for years. However, I have heard that some aspects of life there are very conservative and strict (parietals, other dorm rules, etc.) I, personally, am relatively liberal, but I live in a very conservative community in Wisconsin.
