Nick Castle (1910–1968; born Nicholas John Casaccio [1] [A]) was an American choreographer and dance director of television and film. Castle was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 21, 1910, to an Italian-American family. [1] [3] He danced in vaudeville numbers before moving to Los Angeles in 1935. [4]
Nick Castle worked in his early years as dance director in vaudeville, before he went in 1937 to Hollywood, where he worked as choreographer first at Fox, Paramount, Warner, MGM and Columbia with Shirley Temple, George Murphy, Betty Grable, Ann Miller, Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.

He also staged television shows. He joined ASCAP in 1951, and his chief songwriting collaborators included Sidney Clare, Jule Styne, Dudley Brooks, and Eddie Beal.
Nicholas Castle (born September 21, 1947 in Kingsport [1]) is an American screenwriter, film director, and actor. He is known for playing Michael Myers in John Carpenter 's horror film Halloween (1978). [2] [3] He also had a cameo as Myers in Halloween (2018). Castle also co-wrote Escape from New York (1981) with Carpenter. [4] .
