Kāpiti College is a co-educational school with 1500 NZ students and up to 80 international fee payers from many countries.. We are 45 minutes from Wellington and our town is a beach resort known for its temperate climate.
Kāpiti College was established in 1954 as Raumati District High School, becoming Kāpiti College in 1958. In the 1960s it grew rapidly as the population of the Kapiti Coast increased. By the mid-1970s, pressure of numbers led to the building of Paraparaumu College on the northern edge of the town.

Welcome to the Kāpiti College Sports Department. We view sport as an extracurricular activity and encourage all students to participate in at least one sport per year. Please familiarise yourself with the college sport website. This will be regularly updated with sports that are available.
