Law though was more of a player who mainly got involved in the complete build up to a move, he was more of a grafter who could make goals as well as finish.
Sep 17, 2019 · Jimmy Greaves was a brilliant footballer and the Saint and Greavsie show was unmissable unpc knockabout fun in the 70's when most other things on telly were very strait-laced. Of his time, when playing he would look at winding up defenders in any way he could and would not be a drama queen if and when they did the same.

Mar 15, 2019 · Greaves was a superb goalscorer, way higher goal ratio than Law, but Denis was a more complete player? On a side note, Jimmy Greaves said that Ronnie McKinnon was the quickest centre half he played against and the only one that he couldn't do for pace.
Oct 21, 2020 · Yes, I was at that game. My second European tie after see us beating Saville 4-0 in1962. It was a great European night even though we lost 3-2. Can still remember Greaves scoring a great goal at the broomloan end. Thought it was a bit cheeky applauding us off the park thought. He was a great striker right enough.

A lot of these older players are in on folklore and a given knowledge about them that folk who didn’t see them have. Billy Meredith as one of his favourite players FFS.

He was accused of things, that he never did, and it led the man and his family down a very dark, sad path. To the people saying that we should offer him his old job back and make it right - that'll never make it right.
