I had been active on this route for 3 - 4 years, from 2004 to 2008/2009. From whatever I may recall, road construction used to start after Durga Puja or safer to say after Diwali. Sad that this forum will not see the kind of response Kushaq got. Now with Xuv700, Mahindra has stolen the limelight. Reminds me about durga puja, when a new concept based pandal of nearby locality makes you forget about your own para's pandal. It will be interesting to know how VAG group will react to this new reality.

During the Durga Puja holidays, I thought of doing a medium budget road trip of around 1000 kilometers as I have 3 days’ time in hand. But during the Puja holidays no friends of mine agreed to accompany me, as they have keen interest in the Kolkata Durga Puja.

I have visited few places more than once but here am compiling all my different trips together to make a small list of the tourist spots in Bengal, specially for the week ends and the extended week ends.

Thereafter, when I called to get my refund, the salesman blankly told me that he can't return me the money instead he will adjust it as and when I decide to buy the car.

We have a neat time and holiday during Durga Puja, and being in a joint family is the best time for long holidays. Madhya Pradesh is always a fascinating place to visit. Last year (2022) we travelled to Northern Madhya Pradesh during Puja Holidays.

My parents travelled in the Yaris for the whole journey and were pretty comfortable even over some rough roads. Day 1: Guwahati to Shergaon: 240 kms. Route taken: Guwahati- Mangaldai- Rowta- Kahibari- Bhairabkund- Shergaon.

Early this September we planned for a day outing to Taki with some friends and their families.
