The Magnificent Butcher (Chinese: 林世榮) is a 1979 Hong Kong martial arts comedy film directed by Yuen Woo-ping, and starring Sammo Hung, Kwan Tak-hing, Yuen Biao, and Wei Pai. The film is based on the story of Lam Sai-wing, one of the students of the legendary Chinese folk hero Wong Fei-hung.

kevin_robbins 23 October 2023. I recently had the pleasure of rewatching the Jackie Chan classic, The Magnificent Butcher (1979), on Tubi. The storyline revolves around a butcher who becomes embroiled in a conflict between a wrongfully accused friend and a vengeful kung fu school.
Young pork butcher Lam Sai Wing and his fishmonger friend run afoul of some local thugs. A local doctor and martial artist Wong Fei Hung, trains them to fight and they take on the thugs' boss.
