Albert Pinkovitch war ein französischer Filmproduzent . Biografie. Pinkovitch war in den 1930er Jahren Filmproduzent und produzierte nach Jenny (1936) vor allem 1937 mit Frank Rollmer für die Filmproduktionsgesellschaft Réalisation d'art cinématographique (RAC) den von Jean Renoir inszenierten Film Die große Illusion (La grande illusion, 1937).
Through Albert Pinkévitch, an assistant to the financier, Frank Rollmer, and the attachment of Jean Gabin, private producers finally supported a small production budget. The casting of Erich von Stroheim came as Renoir was a great admirer of the director's films, and had inspired him to pursue filmmaking.
Producer Albert Pinkovitch, for instance, who was a Jewish man, helped to flesh out the Rosenthal character. The film and its script changed so much as a result of collaboration that Renoir struggled to find an ending for his film.
