You can scan a WhatsApp QR code to add someone’s contact information to WhatsApp. Scan a WhatsApp QR code. Scan in person. Tap > Settings. Tap the QR Code displayed next to your name. Tap Scan code. Hold your device over the other person's QR code to scan. Tap Add to contacts. Scan with your camera in WhatsApp. Tap Camera.
Tap More options > Settings. Tap the QR Code displayed next to your name. Tap Scan code. Hold your device over the QR code to scan. Tap Continue to chat. Tap Add to add the business as a contact. You can also scan with the WhatsApp camera: Tap Camera. Hold your device over the QR code to scan.

Tap the QR icon displayed next to your name. On iPhone 6s and newer, you can also tap and hold the WhatsApp icon on your home screen.
Note: Only share your WhatsApp QR code with trusted individuals. It's possible for someone to forward your WhatsApp QR code to others, who could then add you as a contact by scanning your code.
