Maj. Rishima Sareen Sharma Major Mohit Sharma AC SM [2] (13 January 1978 – 21 March 2009) was an Indian Army Officer who was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra , India's highest peace-time military decoration.
On 26 January 2010, his wife, Major Rishima Sharma received the award from the President of India Pratibha Patil. The official citation of the award said-Major Mohit Sharma, SM was leading Bravo Assault Team in operations in Kupwara District of North Kashmir.
