If you have a passion for theatre (or if you need to cultivate an interest), my recommendation would be to go and catch one at the Kamani Auditorium. They have some of the best plays playing in Delhi every year. Maybe the proximity with Mandi House, and NSD (5 mins walk from Kamani) as well as a rich history in theatre helps.
Recently visited Kamani Auditorium to see International dances organised by ICCR. Dance by Malaysian troup was fantastic. Kamani is located in the heart of Central Delhi. This place is surrounded by a few prominent auditoriums like LTG/Bhartiya Kala Kender/Doordarshan/Meghdoot Theatre and many more. Auditorium is very well maintained.
