Jamshad Cethirakath (born 11 December 1980), known by his stage name Arya, is an Indian actor and producer who predominantly appears in Tamil cinema and a few Malayalam and Telugu films. [1] Arya has won two Filmfare Awards South and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. [2]
He is popularly known as ‘Kollywood’s playboy.’. Ajith Kumar was the first choice to play the role of an Aghori, Rudran in Naan Kadavul (2009), but later the role was offered to Arya. He has a production company called The Show People. He is also the owner of a restaurant, Sea Shell at Anna Nagar in Chennai.
