Anju Bobby George was an all-rounder growing up, excelling in 100m hurdles, relay, long jump and high jump, consistently winning medals in all four disciplines at various school events. Before long, her interest turned towards heptathlon, an athletic event comprising seven different disciplines – 100m hurdles, high jump, shot-put, 200m sprint, long jump, javelin throw and 800m run.
