The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications and plant spacing of 30 cm × 30 cm for thirty genotypes including three checks, Pusa Virat, Purple Vienna and White Vienna. Observations were recorded for various quantitative and quality traits.

The overallprevalence was 26.00 per cent of SCK by urine reagent strips.Whereas, prevalence of56.00 per cent was observed based on blood BHBA test. The prevalence was highest inthe goats belonging to unorganized farms. Age wise prevalence of SCK in pregnant goatswas highest in 2-4 years and least in 4-6 years of age groups based on blood BHBA test.
