Open the Google Maps app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
It's the pushpin icon on your Home screen or in your app list.
Tap the search bar at the top of the screen, type the name or address of the location, and tap it in the search results. Alternatively, you can tap and hold a location on the map to drop a pin.
You'll see this blue button below the address.

If your trip has multiple stops, tap the three-dots in the upper right corner of the screen, then tap
Use the link or type the Web address into a browser and press ⏎ Return .
It's the white arrow inside a blue diamond, next to the "Search Google Maps" field in the upper-left corner of the map.
Select your mode of transportation.
Do so by clicking one of the transportation icons in the blue rectangle at the top of the window:
, then enter your starting address or location.
You can also click on the map to indicate your starting point.

- Steps: Google Maps is available on both computers and mobile devices. To access Google Maps on a computer, visit google.com/maps. To get the Google Maps app for your phone, download it for free from your preferred app store (note that Android phones usually come with it pre-installed.)
- Finding a Location: Type the location's address into the search bar. When you launch Google Maps, you should see a map (if your device can detect your current location, this will be of the surrounding area) and a text bar near the top of the screen.
- Getting Directions: Find your destination. One of the most useful features of Google Maps is that it allows you to get detailed, step-by-step directions to almost any place you can find in the world.
- Finding Businesses Near a Location: Find the location you want to find businesses near. When you're planning an outing, it can be helpful to know ahead of time where restaurants, shopping centers, and so on are relative to the place you're visiting.
