01 April, 2023, Modipuram, Meerut. ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram, Meerut celebrated its 34 th Foundation Day . The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest of the function, Dr. Panjab Singh, Chancellor, RLBCAU, Jhansi and Ex. Secretary DARE and DG, ICAR.
The ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has started the Technology Transfer Programme (TTP) on Mushroom entitled “Transfer of Mushroom Production Technology as an entrepreneurship option to farmers, youths and unemployed workers under COVID-19 Pandemic” today.
The objective of ICAR- Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research is to Plan, undertake, coordinate and promote research and technology development for sustainable agriculture. Institute also engaged to undertake on-farm testing, verification, and refinement of system-based farm production technologies.
The DDG also visited the ICAR-Central Potato Institute Campus, Modipuram followed by the ICAR-IIFSR campus. He urged to include the livestock components in both the horticulture-based IFS. Dr. K.K. Singh, ADG (Farm Engineering) lauded the Institute’s research works.
