What is a Caution Order. • A Caution Order is a written notice issued by a station master to the driver and guard of a train, formally advising them of special conditions and restrictions in effect on the section of track that the train is about to enter.
Unified Rules Regarding Caution Order. I. When for any reason, the Loco Pilot of a train [as defined in Rule 1.02 (58)] is required to observe any caution or speed restriction, he will be issued a Caution Order in form T/409 or T/A 409 or T/B 409.
