Kundra has been married twice, first to Kavita Kundra, with whom he has a daughter. The couple later divorced. On 22 November 2009 Kundra married Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Kundra and Shetty have a son, born on 21 May 2012, and a daughter, born through surrogacy on 15 February 2020.
In October 2023, Raj Kundra shared a post on X indicating his separation from his wife Shilpa Shetty; however, it later turned out to be a post for his face mask, which he had been wearing since his release from jail in connection to the 2021 pornographic film case.
