    On July 19, Hwall was announced as the fifth member of THE BOYZ, with his DAZED Profile Film released on the same day. On December 6, Hwall officially debuted as a member of THE BOYZ. He and his members released the debut mini album The First, featuring the title track "소년 (Boy)".

    2019: Departure from The Boyz

    On October 23, 2019, it was announced that Hwall has concluded his activities with THE BOYZ so that he could focus on his recovery after a leg injury.
