Andrés Vicente Gómez (Madrid, 16 September 1943) is a Spanish film producer, head of Lolafilms, with more than 100 films to his credit. Gómez is the winner of an Oscar in the category of Best Foreign Language film for "Belle Epoque".
In 1994, Andrés Vicente Gómez, a Spanish film producer, had the idea to adapt to the big screen the popular novel La Pasión Turca, written by Antonio Gala. The year before, Gomez had produced Aranda's movie El Amante Bilingüe , a film adaptation of a novel written by Juan Marsé .
Shooting began in Santo Domingo in the first weeks of October 2004. After several weeks of productions continue in Spain. Several locations using for shooting are located in La Romana and Jarabacoa (North of Capital). The Executive production was in Charge of Andres Vicente Gomez, Chairman of Lola Films
