I have root and custom rom, rooted with kernal su. But I got the warning and I fixed it by opening my account on a different device and delete my WhatsApp account, after 2 days I could login successfully on my rooted custom rom device and also restore local backup.

Apr 19, 2023 · I dont know if someone still needs this, but I somehow overcame the issue, after putting you sim card in the new phone and downloading whatsapp it will ask you to verify by taking the code from the old phone, I clicked on the "I need help getting the code" then "verify by a phone call", it just called the new phone and verified. The other way around also seem to work. FINAL SOLUTION (SO FAR): I’ve have successfully been able to log into my account into my device again. Steps: Download the officila version of WhatsApp (should go without saying). Using a brand new sim card, create another account.

Having the same issue I have finally found the solution: After failed attempt with missing prompt on the new phone: clear the cache & storage of the app. Reinstall Whatsapp on the new phone (step 1 is necessary) Follow the regular procedure and you will now get the prompt. 3.
Jun 18, 2023 · Was trying to log into Whatsapp but it kept saying it was sending verification code to old phone, even though I had my old sim card in the new phone I was getting nothing. I clicked "Help with sending code" and it gave me the option to receive a call, so it called me and gave me the verification code thankfully.
