May 25, 2023 · I took both, the Wall Street Prep and the Corporate Finance Institute "Investment Banking Tracks". The FMVA (the IB track from CFI) covers more finance and accounting material, I'd say it's solid even for FP&A; that being said, if you graduated from a decent finance/accounting program you'll find a big chunk of the course redundant.
Mar 20, 2021 · Wall Street prep is very good, but you have to understand how to use it. The videos are way to long and boring. You need to build all the models multiple times, and just refer to the completed example if you get stuck. You have to tell yourself on the fourth or fifth time, stuff will really start to click. There is no shortcut.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either Wall Street Prep or Breaking into Wall Street (BIWS) because they're the two best financial modeling courses on the market, and have been for quite some time now. But if I had to choose, I'd pick Wall Street Prep because the teaching style is just more efficient without filler material.

Dec 18, 2022 · For me FMVA is a big no it doesn't go in depth in modeling at all it presents you a template and fill it with you doesn't explain why it uses this excel formula or what the formula do it is just looks professional but if you don't have practical experience you will not understand 50 % of the excel happening you will just fill template on a ...
Jun 11, 2022 · Wall Street prep has a section on it for an excel crash course, an accounting crash course, and a financial modeling course. I think the excel and accounting are like $40 and the financial modeling was like $150.
