The VB6 runtime will ship and will be supported in Windows 10 and Windows 11 for the lifetime of the OS. Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files continue to be 32-bit only, and all components must be hosted in 32-bit application processes.

Click on the Compatibility tab. Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the dropdown menu.
Apr 22, 2021 · 'visual studio 6.0 setup was not completed successfully' or 'install Service pack 6'...which failed as it detected a newer version was loaded or 'instal MSDN' it finally worked. To get it loaded took two full days in the end. Thanks Peter
