The camera pulls back and you see that the Charon's were all having their own "game night" and they were actually all the people who were doing the killing throughout the night - there was a Charon cop, for instance.
Nov 9, 2020 · Recently saw Unfriended: Dark Web and really enjoyed it even more than Unfriended and Host. Wondering what other good films along this similar vein there are out there and which you all would recommend me to watch next.
Feb 25, 2022 · Host, IMO, did everything better than Unfriended, and did it cheaper and quicker. It's the movie Unfriended could have been. Dark Web was a good time, though. Managed to use the whole webcam conceit and pour on the modern references and culture like the first one, but without the cheeseball notion of a vengeful Facebook ghost to bog it down.
Unfriended: Dark Web - While this weekend saw three releases of a first sequel, not all of them succeeded as Unfriended: Dark Web, the sequel to 2015 surprise cyber horror hit, did not perform as well opening to a pretty low #9 with $3.4M. I didn't care for the first Unfriended, but I went to check this one out since I find the Dark Web concept much more disturbing and was not disappointed! The writing, acting, effects, etc. were all much better than the original, and the characters are actually somewhat likeable in Dark Web!
Jul 4, 2020 · Agreed! I loved the first Unfriended as well (thought it was a great creative idea that invoked some fun, love-to-hate horror archetypes) but really loved the second. As much as people joke about Unfriended: Dark Web being “Welcome to the Game: The Movie”, I’m really glad that we got something close to a film adaptation of its premise.
