At those speeds, it would take less than 9 seconds to eat up half a GB. It's not unreasonable to take 9 seconds to establish what your download speed is. A quick 1 second test at 58MBps is too fast to get good results.

Jan 16, 2021 · I actually have the opposite result of yours. I pay 200mbps from my ISP. When using My router NightHawk app to test speed, I get 200 or 210mbps according to the app. However, if I use the default google Internet speed test or Ookla, I get no more than 50mbps, typically around high 30mbps. I am also wondering which is true speed.

Jul 19, 2019 · Struggling to understand the difference between the google speed test and Ookla. Ookla Speedtest says I have 90mbps down, but on google speed test I have 1mbps down. What's the difference? I don't understand the discrepancy. Both are tested on WiFi on the same router on a 100/50 connection. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
