Mar 15, 2018 · that being said, i find Snappy Driver installer ORIGIN to be good (don't bother with the other version). i use it while working to quickly install all the drivers on a customers windows install. (generally, i don't bother with GPU drivers though, i just get those from the amd/nvidia)
Mar 28, 2024 · Snappy drivers is a specialized tool for technicians that need to install drivers to a wide variety of computers from different manufacturers. It is not very useful outside of this niche use case. Windows update is usually good enough at keeping your drivers up to date, but if some component of your computer doesn't work then use the driver updater tool on the manufacturers website.

Mar 15, 2018 · I learned about Snappy Driver Installer Origin from here. It seemed like a wonderful idea. However, after 6 hours of struggling, I will be extremely careful in using SDIO in the future. I am sharing my story for others to avoid my mistakes. I have a Broadcom Bluetooth USB device and there were a couple of drivers that SDIO recommended updating.

PSA I was helping a friend quickly get her drivers up to date over discord and she went to the download page which to her looked fine.
Here is an example oem8.inf old driver being removed: pnputil /delete-driver oem8.inf /uninstall /force I use gpedit to block Microsoft from updating my drivers as that can cause issues later on.
