SGPGIMS, Lucknow. Profile. The Department of Medical Genetics at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow is the brainchild of Late Prof S S Agarwal. This department is the first department of Medical Genetics in a medical institute in India.
Mission. The department of Radiotherapy from the very beginning has strived to deliver high quality, precision radiotherapy along with chemotherapy and palliative cancer care services to the cancer patients belonging to the state of Uttar Pradesh and adjoining regions.
The academic department of hospital administration was established in 2008. The department has replaced One year full time Diploma in Hospital Administration program with Two Year MHA Program. Further, department intends to start MD in Hospital Administration, soon.
