Sainik School Chandrapur is the 29th Sainik School in India and 2nd in State of Maharashtra. The school started its first session in June 2020 with admission of 90 cadets in class VI. From the Academic Session 2021, school had taken admission of girls in class VI and is presently is running classes from VI to XII standard.
Sainik School Chandrapur was established on 20th June 2019 as the 29th Sainik School in India. It is the second Sainik School in the state of Maharashtra. The school was conceptualised in the year 2015 and became functional from Academic Session 2019-2020.
Brief History. The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination was held on 21 Apr 2019 and the preliminary result was published on 30 Apr 19. Sqn Ldr Naresh Kumar, 1st Principal, Sainik School Chandrapur informed that 270 candidates were shortlisted for medical examination.
The objectives of Sainik schools are to remove regional imbalance in the officer cadre of the defence services, to develop qualities of body, mind and character which will enable the young boys of today to become good and useful citizens of tomorrow and to bring public school education within the reach of the common man.
