So I'm trying to get on and when it trying to connect to rockstar game launcher the window becomes unresponsive. I have to reset the pc to get rid of the window. Anyone knows a fix? I disabled my windows anti-virus.

Apr 19, 2017 · Update: I deleted Social Club from my computer and reinstalled it. Then I set Steam.exe, GTAV.exe and GTAVLauncher.exe to run as administrator. These things failed. So i deleted the GTAV.exe from my directory entirely, used Steam to validate game cache, redownloaded the GTAV.exe and it works like a charm.
Jun 14, 2021 · Yep I have the same issue on the Rockstar and Epic Games versions of the game. I only actually noticed GTA V sitting in the task manager after having some pretty diabolical stream performance when attempting to play and stream Forza Horizon 4 - only to notice that closing down the "already closed but still running" GTA V and all of a sudden performance returns to normal.

Mar 25, 2020 · However, some days ago I had an issue just like yours because of a new small update. I fixed by canceling the update, closing the launcher and then by deleting the GTA5.exe in the installation folder. I restarted the launcher and it redownloaded the whole update again (it was around ~75MB) and at the end it worked.
