Aug 31, 2024 · Today Norton support helped me revert the Realtek HD Audio Driver to old version and High Definition Audio Devices. I can hear the sound now but it has low sound, which is much different from Realtek R option I used before. Fyi, I screen shot the system info and Device Manager (1) and Device Manager with View of Hidden Devices.

Is your issue that you have installed the latest driver from the PC maker's Support Downloads web page but didn't get the full Realtek Audio manager software, because I see this issue here regularly.

May 1, 2021 · Here's the steps you can try. -Press Windows key + X. -Go to Settings. -Click Update and Security. -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter. -Look for Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter. Once done proceed with these steps. -Press Windows key + X. -Go to Device Manager.

Next, click on "Search automatically for updated driver software". Follow on-screen instructions to install any updated driver software.
