Nov 25, 2021 · It is not matter of value stocks vs any other form of stock investing, that you are talking about. It is matter of individual stock investing vs broad market index fund investing. Both you and OP are more worried about this decision, not value investing stocks picking, it seems to me. And I understand you both, I have the exact same thoughts.

I know it was a meme stock a few years ago, but it’s down a ridiculous amount. I’m very new to value investing and looking at financials so I was hoping someone could share their thoughts with me. I used a valuation calculator and it thought it was ~85% undervalued ($3.28 rn, intrinsic value around $18).
I have been investing money ever since I could push a lawn mower. I started investing young around the Great Recession. Back then and up to about a decade later, I felt more comfortable looking for value companies because they had all taken hits for the most part and weren’t anywhere near their 52wk high or all time high.

Unlike other books, the bulk of this book is to imbue the philosophy of value investing and gives the right frame of mind on how to approach the stock market.
Dec 20, 2023 · I usually use reversion to mean, or treat interest rates at 10% for a conservative calculation, with margin of safety at least 20%. I feel that those who still now, differentiate growth and value stock, are like having chauffeur's knowledge of value investing, not truly understanding the essence of Ben Graham; having just superficial knowledge.
