So the "wire" analogy is basically just saying that things are coming from some remote location over some electronic medium.

Jul 15, 2014 · Over/over coils the cable into a spiral, so when you pull it out straight you end up with a twisted knotted mess. Over time this can cause permanent damage to any cable. Over/under alternates the way the cable turns with each loop, so there is less twisting stress on it and it will pull out straight and relaxed every time.

The better way to repair it though, would be to cut the lines, paying attention to which is which, and use butt connectors to repair them. The answer is No for OP. The answer is "yes" for anyone that knows how to cut, splice, and heat shrink. Stretch splicing tape over it then electrical tape.

Mar 3, 2023 · Buy good quality pull string, tie and tape it securely to the jack end of the wire and slowly tug it till you get pull string. I'd give that a shot first. Or maybe run a fish tape through the hole where the phone wire comes out and see where it ends up. to run LAN over telephone cable, look for "lan extenders".
Jul 24, 2022 · you need to clean everything, have a sterile hand and a non-sterile hand, thread the wire through the cvc, pull the cvc with the non sterile hand, hold the wire with your sterile hand, throw the CVC away, pull off a layer of gloves, clean everything again, and then thread the clean cvc over the wire. not as easy as it sounds.
