At the age of 17, she started modeling in Dehradun, and after she dropped out of college in Delhi, she moved to Mumbai in 2003. In 2005, at the age of 21, she was crowned with the title of Femina Miss India Earth. The same year, she became the goodwill ambassador for Rotary Blood Bank.
