May 13, 2020 · I purchased a 120 GB SSD to use for a boot disk and keep my data on an external USB drive. I'm using MiniTool Partition wiz to migrate the OS to the new disk and the wiz says that the target disk is too small. See screenshot. I'm using the option to migrate the OS only - not clone the source disk. Surely the OS is not greater than 120 GB.

Both of them were able to find the deleted partition and list all of the files on it, but when it comes to writing back the partition table unto the Hard Drive both of the programs failed to do so.

The result will be 830mb unallocated space on the right of the os partition. then create a new ms recovery partition using the whole 830 mb unallocated space. finally enable the recovery sequence.

Jul 25, 2018 · The problem with the Minitool partition manager is that if you have any Storage spaces defined it can't handle those and just crashes rather than being sensible and saying - "Unknown partition type -" and ignoring the storage space volumes. On a similar W10 system but without storage spaces defined it works so it's obviously a problem in that area.
